An indispensable technique for hats, socks, mittens, and so much more, knitting in the round allows us to knit objects without a seam. In this class we’ll look at a few of the many ways we can knit in the round using different tools. By making a touque we’ll learn how to cast on with a circular needle, how to join in the round, and what to do if our project requires a smaller circumference part way through (for example, the crown of a hat). We’ll also go over a few tips, such as what to do if we happen to get a twist in our join. Touque pattern included in class.
Skills required: you are comfortable with the knit and purl stitches
